Parvaah is a New Delhi-based non-government organisation registered under the National Trust Act (1882) of the Government of India. It has a functioning branch in Jaipur as well.
Established on the 7th of February 2014, Parvaah was started as an endeavour to address the issues of environmental degradation and social inequity. In today’s fast-paced world, driven by globalization and urbanisation, busy in our own hectic lives we’ve forgotten the significance of our environment; the environment that we all thrive in, the environment that has made us who we are today. Parvaah aims to evoke in the minds of the individuals the lost importance of the environment. It is an initiative to sensitise people at the grassroots level about the effects of human consumption on nature. With direct focus on the three reduce, reuse and recycle, Parvaah attends to the issue of waste management and food conservation.
Parvaah believes that resources must be distributed equally among all individuals. In order to see this belief come alive, Parvaah has adopted an urban basti where it aims to alleviate the situation of the people of the basti by practicing a simple sustainable scheme.
